TROPHY FOR COMPETITION During the *nual meeting.of the Welli n rh of the New Zealand Institute of Architecture, held at Wellington last evening, Mr de Montalk presented the branch with a‘handsome walking stick of hardwood fitted with a greenstone handle. When the handle wns unscrewed “ .measuring ‘ appliahee was found concealed in the barrel of the stick. The donor expressed ‘ the wish that tlie’ trophy should be presented for competition among student architects during the forthcoming year. The thanks of the* branch were tendered to . the donor, .who, the chairman said, was shortly to leave on a health overseas. .He trusted that Mr de Montalk would return in much better health than, he was at present.
