LABOUR GOVERNMENT’S PLAN TO PRODUCE £400,000. By Telegraph —Tress Assn. —Copyright. SYDNEY, November 17. Tsie “Sydney Morning Herald’’ states that it is loarnecl on good authority that the publications tax, mentioned in Mr Langs Budget speech, tvill take the form, of a tax of a half-penny upon every newspaper or periodical issued in the Stato, whether a charge is made for such paper or riot. Mr Lang stated that the tnx is expected to produce £400,000 in the present financial year.
