AYRSHIRE CHAMPIONSHIPS HERD BOOK REGISTRATION. Per Pi ess Association. AUCKLAND, November 17. At a meeting of the New Zealand Ayrshire Cattle Breeders’ Association a recommendation that two championship com petitions be provided for each Island, one for spring and one tor autumn! was lost. It was announced that the South Island championship this year had been allotted to Oamnni. The championship for 1027 for the North Island will be held at Stratford. The South Island chumpionsliip will be held at the Royal Show. At a meeting of the New Zealand Milking Shorthorn Breeders’ Association, a letter from the Minister tor Railways was received stating that it was not possible to make any reduction in freight on pedigree cattle. The following recommendation was adopted: “That heifers be accepted for registration in the appendix of the “Herd Book” on completing under tne Group Herd Testing Association but-ter-fat records, as required for certicates under the same official test.”
