BIG CYCLE RACE
HAMILTON TO AUCKLAND The .£IOO cycle road race, promoted in conjunction with the Auckland Royal Agricultural Show will be run from Hamilton to Auckland to-day (Thursday), the first rider starting from Hamilton at 8 n.m. The race will be. finished at the Showground in the afternoon between 2.30 and 3.30 p.m. An entry of 12 riders has been received, including It. Laskey, winner of this year’s Tirnaru to Christchurch race; A. Sutherland, winner of the Auckland 100-mila race; and the winner of the Taranaki round-tbe-monntain race. There is a strong contingent of Taranaki riders, and the rivnlry is very keen. The handicaps ore as follows, the riders being Aucklanders unless otherwise stated: R. Laskey (Christchurch) scr, S.
