LONDON WOOL SALES
TRADE COMMISSIONER’S ADVICE “A new series of wool sales is due shortly and the trade generally is | awaiting the opening with a feeling that values will remain firm (states | a trade bulletin issued by the British Trade Commissioner (Mr L. B. Beale). ! Considering the industrial trouble ! consumption of wool has been wonder- j fully well maintained as far as uier- | inos are concerned, but crossbreds 1 have been less active and there has been very little export trade owing to scarcity of demand. j “The price of tops in Bradford has j advanced a little, which is proof of ! the feeling of confidence in the steadiness of raw material values. Botany spinners aro well employed and have orders in hand and prices show a tendency to advance; crossbred spinners also are experiencing a rather better demand from Germany." ' |
