ANDERSON GOING
PROFESSIONAL NEXT YEAR AUSTRALIAN DAVIS CUP PLAYER WILL COACH THE COLTS Uv Telegraph.—Press As&n. —Copyright. (Received November 17, 8.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 17. J. O. Anderson, the Australian
Davis Cup tennis that after the end
player, announces of this year he will turn professional, as he feels he cannot longer •live time to play abroad, and it is his duty to devote more time to encouraging and helping the younger generation of Australian tennis players. Australia will sorely miss Anderson in the next Davis Cup
contests, particularly as, with Vincent Richards and Kinsev out of the amateur ranks, and Tilden apparently declining, the American force has been weakened. G. L. Patterson will now be the only experienced player available for Australia’s team.
