Careful decision convinced her, she said, that what little influence she possessed, chiefly among women, must be thrown on the side of the Conservatives, even if through Jong tradition some of the things they adhered to she oQuld not fully accept. She believed there were only two parties in the oountry—a Constitutional and a revolutionary. If they could get 8,000,000 women’s votes tho situation might be saved: That revolutionary violence threatened Eng-' land 1 was' proved by the alarming re-' suits at the recent municipal elections.
