BUSINESS AT THE PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE The Minister in charge of the Pub. lie Trust Office (the Hon. W. NosWonthy) lias supplied particulars, iof. the load transactions of the Public- Trust Office and new business reported during the month ending October 31*t. 1926. The amount paid out in settlement of new loans was £267,170, making a total of £1,735,975 since the beginning of the present financial year on April Ist, 1926. Further new loans were granted to the amount of £108,670, making the total of loans granted but not yet paid out £733,591. In addition, offers have been made of loans less than the full amounts applied for, and these total £148,595— a grand total of £832,186. Applications are on hand for loan* amounting to £319,777. The value of new estates accepted for administration during the month was £434,488. The number of new wills deposited for safe custody by living testators was 439, making the total number held as at the end of the month 51,732.
