TYPHOID AT MASTERTON

TRACED TO MILK SUPPLY INFECTED THROEGH STREAM. < MASTERTON, November 16. In connection with an outbreak of typhoid, it was stated at the Borough Council to-night that the source of infection had been tracqd to. .a .lpftal dairy farm outside the borough which is subject to inspection by the Agricultural Department. It was found that cans containing milk from which the infection is believed to "have originated had been standing in a stream which was fed by the affluent of a sentic tank, while aii adjacent piggery also haj soakage access to the stream. The supply was immediately suspended, and will remain so until the department is satisfied that the conditions on the farm have been materially improved. So far only one positive ease has been diagnosed, but four others are under observation. All the patients were supplied with milk from the sapie
