ONE-THIRD REJECTED

AUSTRALIAN SENIOR CADETS OFFICIAL REVELATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. SYDNEY; November 1 16. Figures compiled by the Dcfenoe Department for the year ended June 30th last show that almost one-third of the senior, cadets examined for Admission to the Citizen Forces were unfit for military training, and that nearly ■ one-quarter of the trainees examined for the Cadet Force were rejected. The Director-General of Medical Services says it is not possible to analyse the figures, because the most important factor of rejection is not stated. A system is being introduced to remedy this defect, and this will provide valuable data. He added that from a military standpoint such a high percentage of rejections is a matter 1 for grave concern. and is disturbing to the self-esteem of the nation.
