PERSONAL. _ The Harbour Board's flag was flown at half-mast yesterday on account of the death of Captain George Forbes, -who died early in the mqrningr at the age of 31, years. The late Captain Forbes first joined the Harbour Hoard's staff in 1883, and was attached to the permanent staff in 1887, when he was appointed master of the dredge Priestman. After that he was actively connected with dredging operations in Wellington until his retirement in August, 1915. Before joining the Harbour Board's, staff he was master of several oversea vessels trading to China. He leaves a widow and a grown-up family, • - FROM - SEW YORK.
