A VICAR’S “LIMERICK”
Announcing in his oarish magazine that the Rev. Roy McKay, of Marlborough College and Magdalen. Oxford, had been appointed his curate, the vicar of St. Paul's Church, Kingston Hill, the Rev. A. Wellesley Orr. Writes: "It is most annoying for a newcomer to have to keep on correcting the pronunciation of his name, so let us get it right once for all. The following rhymes will help you to do so:— “A curate no longer lack I. As I’ve just got a man named McKay ; When he sees this in piint, I must buy some more lint. For I expect I shall get a black eye.”
