GOLF

MANOR PARK CLUB A very pleasant time was spent recently at the Manor Park Golf Club when the official closing day of the season was held. Several competitions were held and the various wifiners proved to be as follows: Bogey Competition.—Mr and Mrs A. S. Butler. Mixed Foursome Competition.—This resulted in a tie between Miss Kerr and Preston, Miss Stevens and E. M. Pankhurst, and Mr and Mrs J. Barnard. In the:play-off Miss Stevens and Pankhurst won. Long Driving Competition.—Ladies, Miss Newman; men, H. Kirby. In the final of the club championships played over 36 holes recently, Miss Whitwell beat Miss Newman 3 and 1, and A. McKenzie beat W. D. Cooke 5 and 3.
