APPOINTMENT OF BISHOPS. Fablisbed in ‘The Tlaic*-" LONDON, Juno 14. The appointment of tho following new bishops is. announced: —Dr H. H. Henson, Bishop of Hereford, to ho Bishop of Durham; tho Rev. H. H. Williams, Principal of St. Edmund Hall, Oxford, to be Bishop of Carlisle; Dr J. Strong, to be Bishop of Ripon; Dr Lytton Smith, to bo Bishop of Hereford.
