Among tho “preparations for the ses. sion” Cabinet is busily engaged upon is t(io dc'doate' and difficult task of chocsing nominee reinforcements to the Upper House. There is the usual embarrassing number of applicants with strong claims, and an additional awkward feature by way of. allegedly unfulfilled promises by the National Government. It is reported that the Prim© Minister will, despite all the personal pressure to which he is being subjected limit the now list to half a dozen.
