TOWN-PLANNING

INTEREST SPREADING. Interest in town-planning is spreading as the prospects of up-to-date legislation along this line grow brighter. Requests Have been made to the_ Wellington Town-Planning Association from a number of provincial towns for loot urea on this subject, and arrangements have already been mode for Mr A. Leigh Hunt to lecture at Marton and Fcilding next week. Calls will bo made at' Levin and _ Palmerston North to confer with interested citizens in those towns who have asked for lecture visits. The Masterton Progress League is arranging for a lecture on town-planning in Masterton on tho 29th instant.
