HINCKLER'S FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA.' -• PLUCKY FLYER RETURNS TO ENGLAND. Australian and N.Z. CnWs. Association. LONDON, June 13. Lieutenant Hinckler, who recentlycreated a sensation by flying from London to Turin in one day in a Baby Avto machine, as the first stage of a flight to Australia, has abandoned tho flight, and returned to England. The reported abandonment by Mr Bert Hinckler, the Australian flyer, of his flight to Australia comes, as a surprise, although there must have beenmany experts who; wore sceptical regarding the possibility of accomplishing so hazardous a journey in a single-seater Baby Avro, of but 30 odd horse-power. However, the venturesome, pilot gat away from Croydon early on the morning of May 31st, and' reached Turin in a single day. This was hailed as an unparalleled feat in the history of aviation.
