Some interesting property deals are reported. Mr P. A. Mellardy’s Beaulieu estate of 150 acres, just outride the borough, has been.-sold to Air B. R. Saunders at £2OO per acre, including tho homestead. Mr McHardy has purchased Mr R.. S. Abraham’s picturesque homo and 38 acres for £10.500. Mr G. H. Bennett’s two acres and eight-roomed house have been sold for £5500 cash.
As tho result of a statement that the Railway Department has decided to divert the station and enginc-sheds and lines out of Palmerston and construct a depot and lines outside the borough, speculation in properties in the vicinity has been very brink. The Borough Council unanimously approves of tho arrangement.
