RIFLE SHOOTING
BROOKLYN MINIATURE CLUB. Mr George Frost presided at rthe annual meeting of the Brooklyn Miniature Rifle Club, and amongst those present was Mr G. Mitchell, M.P. In the annual report it was stated that the members total fed forty, about 20 being active shooting members. The Perkins Cup being won outright by Mr Webb. Mr Perkins donated to be competed for on similar lines, tnd Mr Worafield won this the first quarter. The club was successful in regaining the Osmond Shield, putting up the good tally of 678. The need of a new range was stressed in the report, and the hope was expressed that a move would be made during the coming year in the direction of either securing a new range or improving the present structure
. The following officers werei elected; — Patron. Mr G. Mitchell. M.P.; Pdent, Mr George Frost; vice-presidents, Messrs Stock bridge. Ramsay, Rose, Perkins, Tills, Holcroft, Glenny, Fitchett, Waters, A. Brown, Marriott, Smelt and Rev. G. W. Dent; secretary, Mr O. Wannell; assistant-secretary, Mr D. Alabaster, junr. ; delegate to association, Mr O. Wanned; chib captain, Mr A. Worefield: vice-captain, Mr Alabaster, senr.; handteapper, Mr Graham; selection committee, captain, handicappor, and vicc-captam; auditors, Messrs Ramsay and Bom. It was decided to alter the date of the annual meeting to the first week in February. During the evening a number of toasts were honoured, and musical items added to the enjoymenlt of the proceedings.
