Tho American Federation of Labour is planning to pledge the federation to support all Irish efforts to gain independence and t.o ask the Unitec States to recognise the Irish Republic. Tho Canadian delegates_ resent this strongly, contending that- it is an unwarrantable interference in :» purely British affair by Americans while f on British soil.

They wore carrying petrol and hay, and were suspected of nirciidtiic to attempt- ineendmrism. In a pitchoil battle, seven Sinn heiners and twe Volunteers were wounded.
