(Special to the "Times.”) MASTEBTON, June 10. At the monthly meeting of the Alasterton West School the following resolutions were carried unanimously.:—"This school committee views with alarm and disappointment the suggestion of the Education Board *to delay the enlargement of Masterton AVest School in view of the erecting of a High School. This committee considers it imperative that primary education should receive first consideration and demands that the Education Board immediately calls tenders and proceeds with the additions no promised. and arranged.” "Considering .the iiiqsallsfactKlry condition 'Of the side school this committee requisitions the Education Board to attend to th« repair of the school so that the commit tee will not be”embarrassed with the expense of necessary repairs, etc." Air Percy Cooks, of Invercargill, has been' appointed accountant to the Maeterton gas office. Air C. E. Evans, of Masterton, has been appointed engineer to the Stratford Borough Council. Yesterday the members of the Wnirarapa Bed Cross Society presented Airs J. Caselberg, who has been treasurer and a most active worker in tho interests of New Zealand soldiers, with a beautiful hand-painted Doulton vase and travelling V.lock, suitably, inscribed, ad a. mark of appreciation of her self-sacrificing service.
