SUCCESSFUL SALE. TOTAL PURCHASE MONEY £110.159. Mr E. B. Saunders’s Glen Oroua property of 1100 acres was sold by public auction on. Tuesday, Bth instant, by Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., Fending, who disposed of every section under tie hammer. The total purchase money was £110,159. and the average price per acre .£lO3 2s 6d, _ There was particularly keen competition for the homestead section, which was purchased by Mr Walter Mills, of Pictqn, at £IBO per acre, and after strong bidding the same buyer also secured tho adjoining section at £152 per acre. Mr W. F. WelUvood acted as auctioneer. and conducted the. sale in a brisk and able manner. Besides a largo gathering of local farmers, there were buyers from Pahiatua Dunnevirke. Hastings, Pateij, Wanganui, Foxton, Pohangi, na, Ballance. and Picton. Bidding was spirited throughout the sale. The following prices were realised for tho undermentioned lots:—
