WORKERS’ RIGHTS
VIEW OF MR SAMUEL COMPELS.

Speaking at Chicago, Mr Samuel Gompers (president of the American Federation, of Labour) said that legislation proposing to make strikes unlawful or compel workers to submit tboir grievances to the courts was an invasion of the rights of workers, and if enforced, would be equivalent to serfdom and slavery.
