BIG FIGURES FROM AUCKLAND. GOVERNMENT COLLECTS £93,000 IN TAXES. PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND. Juno 9. The totalisator investments in Auckland during the racing season just concluded prove highly satisfactory reading from a Racing Club and Government point 'of view. The total amount put through tho machines at all local race meetings was £1,896,481 and the Government collected in taxes just over £93,000. The total for tho - Auckland Racing Club meetings was £1,052,146, made up as follows; —Spring meeting £122.642, summer £435,781, autumn £195,855, Royal £77,476, winter
