BRITAIN’S CONTRIBUTION TO AUSTRALIA.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright MELBOURNE, June 9. ■ The British. Red Cross Society has remitted through the Governor-General £150,000 for distribution among institutions and nursing organisations solicitous for the welfare of soldiers and sailors and their dependents. The British Red Cross sift has been allocated as follows: —£25,000 each to New South Wales.- Victoria, South Australia." West Australia, and Tasmania, and £20,000 to Queensland.
