Do Valera has written to the Irish Vigilance Association stating that ho is shortly leaving America and will visit England “'because it is duo to the loyalty and co-operation of niv friends in England than 1 should call personally and deliver a message. After that I will cross and feast my eyes afresh upon the long tortured and outraged land to which alone wo owe inherited allegiance.” CRIME MUST BE SUPPRESSED. BRITISH GOVERNMENT DETERMINED. LONDON, June 7. In the House of Commons, replying to Mr T. Donald (Unionist member for Belfast), Mr Uoyd George emphasised that the Government intended to take steps to bring to justice all persons associated with crime in Ireland. The Government, to that end, is organising an Irish Executive and jtrengthening the police, naval, and military forces in Ireland. Probably it would bo also necessary tp strengthen the law for dealing with crime. The Government intended to put down the present organised campaign of murder and assassination. The Harbour Commissioners refused to unlock the big cranes for an armed transport which was unloading military lorries. Soldiers broke the locks' and commenced the unloading, but little progress was made in the absence of dockers. The railway strikers have not returned to work, and workers at Limerick refuse to handle coal intended for the Constabulary. Constables unloaded it, (protected by an armed escort. LONDON, Juno a Dublin advices state that the new military patrol system is hearing fruit, as military intervention frustrated an attack on the Constabulary barracks at Brosna, County Kerry. Six armed men, with a motor-car containing arms and ammunition. Were captured.
