The following interesting -statistics as to the number and value of the boots and shoes imported into Now Zealand from Australia 'and elsewhere during tho five months ending May .‘slst, were supplied to a “Times” representative yesterday;— The total number of children’s hoots and shoes (sixes 0 to 6) imported was 7322 pairs, of a total value of £22,111. Of these, GG42 pairs, valued at £20,were imported from Australia. Men’s women’s, and youths’ _ (above size 6) boots and shoes were imported to the number of 32,183 pairs, of a total value of £313.276; and of these 25,040 pairs, valued at £281,893 enmo from Australia.
