At the wool sales merino and fine crossbreds were unchanged. There were heavy- withdrawals, in inferior quality offerings. -"Gear" wool made 16d per lb. ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. TES PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, June 9. At the Addington market to-day there was a big yarding of fat stock and an average ono of stores. There was an improvement in. the store sheep market, the mutton market 'being very firm, whilst an overflow yarding of fat beet met with a much easier sale. Store sheep—Lambs brought from 17s 4d to 21s lOd, inferior 12s 7d to 15s Gd, good two-tooth ewes (in lamb) 27s Hd to 80s lid, cull two-tooth ewes in lamb los sd, good empty two-tooth ewes to 27a Id, low-conditioned sound-mouthed ewes 24s lOd, four and six-tooth wethers 26s 4d to 23s 3d. two and four-tooth wethers 24s Gd to 27s lid, two-tooth wethers 24s Id to 23s Gd. Pat lambs—There was .a. yarding of 2600, of indifferent quality,, and there was an average - demand, freezing buyers obtaining the hulk of them. Extra prime lambs sold to 335, prim© 27s Go to 32s Id, medium 2-ls 9d to 2Cs 9d, lighter 2Cs to 21s Gd. Pat sheep—A big yarding, with many lines of very prime, both ©wes and wethers. A firm tone was displayed throughout, and freezing buyers secured about half the yarding, operating more freely than usual.' Two-year and a half steers realised up to AG 15s. twoyear springing calves to A 7 6s Gd, forward cows to AS 6s. Pigs Cliojipere to A 9 19s, light baooners AG 15s, and heavy to AS. The average price per lb was 10d tp Iftld. Heavy porkers to Aj ss; average per lb Is to Is Did. PRICES AT BURNSIDE. PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN. June 9. There were large entries of stock in all departments at Burnside today, and the prices realised were well up to late quotations, specially so in the ease of pigs. Fat Cattle. —The yarding consisted if 181 head, the quality being fair. The sale op“iicd at an advance of 20-, to 25s per .head on last week's rates, but towards the finish prices cased back fully SOs per head. Prime bullocks mads from Al 9 to A 22 10s, extra prime to .£-26 1 Os. medium Al 5 to Al 7 10s, light from Al2, prime heifers AIS 12. s Gd, medium cows and heifers Al 3 to „£l4 10», light from A 8 10s.

Store Cattle.—There was a large yarding, and ail lines showing breeding and in lurv.aril condition were sold at prices on a mr with the rates ruling last week, while for young and inferior cattle compelirien was not very brisk, She"n —There was a largo yarding <f fair quality, numbering 21)9 head, and a mtmoe, ui pens contained well-grown sheep in good condition. The demand was brisk, and prices wore a shade firmer on last week« improved rates. Prime wethers sold from 47 6d to 57s Gd, medium 39s to ids, light and unfinished kinds from 50s upwards: extra prime heavyweight ewes sold up to 55s f>d, prime 40s to 47-s 6d, medium 33s to 38s, light and aged from 24b upwards. Fat Lambs. —A largo yarding of medium quality, and the number offered for sale was 35G7 head. A ll linos suitable for freezing purposes were disposed of at

prices equal to last week’s rates, while for inferior lambs slightly reduced values had to be accepted. Prices ranged from 17s 6d to 35s Gd per head. Pigs.—There was a small yarding, and as a much larger ■ number could have been disposed of, higher prices to the extent ot from 7s Cd to 10s per bead, wc, e obtained. Best bacouers realised from lOd to lid per lb, and best porkers from IOJd to Hid pec lb. SALE AT LEVIN. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report hawing held their-fortnightly sale in the Levin yards oh Tuesday, Bth instant, when they offered ' a'medium entry of sheep, cattle and pigs, to Hie usual attendance of buyers. Competition-for sheep was fairly sound, and late rates were fhaintained. All classes of cattle were dull of sale, anil only in a few instances vendors’ reserves were reached.
