NUMBER OF SOUTH ISLAND CASES. . Soma ten cases of alleged profiteering are set down for hearing at the Christchurch Magistrate’s Court on Monday nest. Certain Christchurch merchants are the and it is understood that the chief legal points involved concern the definition of replacement value. A strong bar, it is stated, has been engaged for the defence, consisting of Sir John Findlay, K.C., and, Messrs O. P. Skerrett, K.C., and M. Myers. A case of alleged profiteering against a Dunedin firm-one of selling fowl wheat at a' prico higher than the regulation rate —is down for hearing at the Dunedin Magistrate’s Court to-day. '
