The Prince concluded his public engagements in Victoria on Saturday, after attending , tho races, where he backed several horses, but failed to pick a winner. He attended a special. theatre performance, and at both, functions was the recipient of enthusiastic demonstrations. Pending his departure to fill his Now South Wales engagements, the Prince spends a week in retirement. (Received June 7, 11.50 p.m.) MELBOURNE, June 7. The Prince attended I’Temington in mufti, shunning the Royal box and viewing the races from the committee stand. During the respite from public function's the closest secrecy is being observed regarding 'the movements of His Royal Highness, who is spending most of his time at Federal Government House in athletic exercises.
