British and American-gunboate have been ordered to proceed, to ■ the’ Yangtso river iq protect foreign shipping- from bandits. Owing to the unto tiled conditions captains of vessels are afraid to unload their cargo and passengers, and it has therefore been decided that British and American vessels would carry aimed guards. ..
