THE REPORTED SLUMP. The reports of a heavy fall in wool on tile London market apparently not going to have any immediate effect in bringing about an early slump in the prices of clothing in New Zealand (says the Auckland “Stax-”). Wlxafevcr may be the explanation, it appears that tho prices of tweed and woollens are not being reduced by English manufacturers. Messrs Svhueideman Bros., Ltd., have received tho following telegram from Christchurch agents of a Bradford firm:—

“Manufacturers advise that_ your orders of March loth are subject to approximately 20 per cent, advance. Do you confirm?”
