Hogg is seriously m, and his condition i* causing his friends and relations much anxiety. The Post and Telegraph Hockey Club' ill" Mastertdri' has been resuscitated. ""■' ,' j - J F. Walker, horse trainer, :u Clarevillc, has filed a petition in bankruptcy. - Mr-Vettv's house on the Newman road, Eketnhuna, was destroyed by fire on Monday night. , A. ladies' hockey club has been formed in Masterton. There is a very strong movement tn Mastertcn in favour of a universal Saturday half-holiday. Several prominent business firms are in favour ot it. ' It is stated that if JW;>*crton adopts the Saturday ■ half-holiday ether Wair.ira.pa towns will fall into laic.
