In the House of Commons, in the discussion on the Navy Estimates, Commander Bellaim asked if the Fleet was to be oaiiccntratcd in Home waiters, or were we to have a great Pacilio fleet f As there is now no menace in tho North Sea we must have an outlook on the Pacific. Air tValter hong replied that certain matters of policy were not discussable. A number of questions of future policy was now before the Committee for examination. A declaration of policy would bo made as soon as the'Admiralty saw its way clear. In klpfendling the expenditure! on oil fuel bases, Mr Long said it was tho bounden duty of tho Admiralty to see that the storage was such that it would be impossible tor ships to be deficient in supplies wherever they might be throughout the world.
