PRINCE’S TOUR
VISIT TO BALLARAT. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright MELBOURNE, Juno 3. The Prince has returned after a brief country visit. Ho had a fine reception at Ballarat, where he was presented, amidst smiles, with a pair of pyjamas into whioh one stitch each had boon inserted by 500 girls noted for their magnificent war work. , The Prince’s week’s rest will, bo spent secretly, probably in the vicinity of Melbourne.
A BUSY AFTERNOON,

Tile Princo spent a free morning. At midday he attended a _ luncheon Eivoti by the Returned Sailors* and oldiers’ League, and made Paitron-in-Chief of the league. Ho then attended: the university, where the decree of LL.D. was conferred on him. Yesterday the Prince received from the King a rush cable giving the Derby result. To-day hie passage through, although cheered, was uninterrupted, ns for tho first time since his arrival the newspapers did not publish details of his movements, giving only engagements instead of times and routes from one function to another.
