INFI/UX OF HINDUS. SODDIERS URGE ACTION BY GOVERNMENT. “That the conference draw tho attention of the Government to the increasing number of Hindus that aro arriving in Now Zealand, and request that the Immigration Restriction Act ho amended to stop, without further delay, the immigration of Hindus and Chinese, and affirm the principle of a white New Zealand, and that all associations throughout New Zealand bo requested to convene a public meeting in their district prior to tho meeting of Parliament to protest against tho present influx of Hindus and Chinese.” Tho above resolution was adopted by the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association in conference yesterday. Remits of protest had been received from all over tho Dominion, and speakers, in endorsing the action of local associations, expressed alarm at even the present position. It was stated that every week a fresh quota of Hindus arrived, and now they were to be found practically in any part of tho North Island, and in some parts of tho South Island. There presence hero was a real danger, not only in respect of a white New Zealand, but also tho future peace of the country.
