"Another case of valvular varicella, or mild smallpox, was reported to-day, tho sufferer being a patient in the hospital, who was admitted from Winton ten days ago' owing to another complaint, which has since developed into smallpox. . . , t Tho Health Officer visited Wmton to-day, and made arrangements for tho vaccination of tho school children and general public. A suspected case in tho city was removed to tho Kow Infectious Diseases Hospital to-day for observation. There are now twenty cases in the institution, all of a mild typo, tho malignant form of tho disease being, so far, confined to Dunedin, from where tho local infection has been definite!* traced. Tho rush for vaccinatum has exhausted supplies of lymph.
