500 MILE CHAMPIONSHIP. Australian and K.Z. Cable Association. INDIANAPOLIS, May 31. Gaston Chevrolet (France) won the five hundred mile automobile championship, De Palma, tho American holder of the speed 1 title, losing owing to his car catching-fire. An average speed of ninety miles per hour .was maintained.
