FALL FROM EXPRESS
EARLY MORNING ACCIDENT.
.VICTIM IN SERIOUS CONDITION. PEB PEESS ASSOCIATION. TAUMAITUNUI, June 2. A man, who hus not yet "been identified, met with a shocking accident at Alangapehi ahout 2 o’clock this morning, falling from the extra express from Wellington. It is surmised that his head came in contact, with a manuka stake, and when picked np by the slow train after daybreak ho was lying in a pool of water and in a haltfrozen The injured man was removed to Taumarunui I! os p Ila where ho lies unconscious and in a .serious condition. A subsequent message stated that the name of the man who fell off tho train at Mangapchi is Charles Wo IV OT Kenny, supposed to bo an employee of the Auckland or Taihape freezing works. He had in his possession a second-class ticket. Huntcrvillo to Auckland, issued to him. yesterday.
