Tho Paparoa, after a day spent in the stream, berthed at the Quoen's wharf, Auckland, on Saturday. Tlw Paparoa ■jailed from Liverpool on March 23rd, going first to Newport News, where she arrived on April 11th. This portion of the trip was hampered by heavy storms, and a certain amount of damage was done to the vessel. She subsequently called at Jamaica and Colon, staying the night, at Bilbao, and incidentally paying a visit to Pitcairn Island. The last six or seven days of the voyage have been tendered unpleasant hy head winds. RAEANGA AT ADELAIDE. The C. and D. _ liner Port Nicholson, now loading at Wellington, will sail on Sunday for Picton, and is to return I ere on June 10th to complete, afterwards sailing finally on June 13th for London via Panama. ARAIIURA'S TIME-TABLE. The Arahura is to leave Napier on Thursday for " Gisborne, returning in time to leave Napier again on Saturday for Gisborne and Auckland. PALOONA FOR. MELBOURNE!. The Paloona is expocted from southern ports on Sunday, and will load here for Melbourne, sailing with passengers on Tuesday next, June Bth. WAIHORA WITH COAL. The Union Co. yesterday received a radio message from the master of tho Waihora stating tl\at the vessel will arrive in' the stream at Wellington this morning. Tho vessel is from Newcastle and has a cargo of coal for dischargo here. MANUKA DUEI 4 P.M. TO-DAY. The inter-State passenger steamer Manuka, with" passengers, mails, and cargo from Sydney, will arrive in the stream to-dav about 4 p.m., according to a wireless message received by Uio UniOD Company. The vessel will not go to Lyttelton, and will leave Wellington for Sydney and Hobart at noon on Friday.

SCHWARZENFELS AT AUCKLAND. The ex-German steamer Schwarzenfels. after a long wait in tho stream—first for a berth, then for the weather to moderate sufficiently to allow her to take il~ berthed at Auckland on Friday afternoon. Tho vessel left Safaga on April 7th. having loaded there about SCOO tons of phosphates for New Zealand: They called at Colombo en route, and arrived at Fremantle on May sth. From that port to Newcastle, where -the vessel bunkered, stronj? westerly gales were the order of the day, but the weather across the Tasman was exceptionally fine. 'Jhe Schwan-zenfels is almost a new vessel, having been built in 1915 for the Hanta line at Bremen; she was never allowed to take up the .Eastern running for which she was intended, as the war intervened, and, in March of last-year she was handed over. This is her second voyage. On completing discharge at Auckland she will come to Wellington, will return to Newcastle to bunker, and will finally load grain in Australia for the United Kingdom.

AN ADVENTUROUS TRIP. An adventurous voyage from England to Tonga in a 21-ton cutter was concluded on May 3rd, when tho Ogre, with a party of four (including Mr Ralph Stock, the Author) on board, arrived in Nukualofa harbour, according to a special message to the "Auckland Star." 7he Ogre left the Devonshire coast last July. The first port touched was Vigo, in Spain, and from there the route was to the Canary Islands, thenco to Barbados, then on through the Caribbean Sea to Colon. Passing through the Canal - all tho paraphernalia of dock science was utilised to shift, the Ogre, and all the charge that could be levied was 25 dollars. From Panama to Galapagos Island was the next stage of the voyage, then to Marquesas, and on to the Panmota Group, Tahiti, Palmerston Island, and Nine were next called at. and the O?ro then went, on to Nukualofa,' thus completing a truly remarkable voyage v Tho Ogre wns designed by the wellknown Colin Archer. She was built ninfe years ago as a lifeboat for the Norwegian fishing fleet, is 47ft long, with a beam of 15ft, and is equipped with a 13-h.p. Kelvin engine. She is a staunch vessel and quite capablo of making tho return trip to England. In tho run through the Caribbean Sea tho Ogre logged 1200 miles in seven days. The average sailing fate was about 130 miles a day.
