The monthly stop-work meeting of financial members of the Seamen's Union will commenco at the, Masonic Hall, Boulcott street, at 8 o'clock this morning.

The Kennedy is due from Foxton tomorrow, and will return again the Mime evening. The Opawa sailed last night for Picton, and is due back again to-morrow. She will return in the evening.

The Echo and May Howard will both leave Wellington to-day for Blenheim with general cargo. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company.'s liner Waimate loft Wellington yesterday afternoon for London with cargo from New Zealand ports. The Waikawa is expected to leave Wellington to-day for San Francisco, via Auckland.

The Mokoia left Wellington last night for Napier, Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay, and Auckland.

The Blackball steamer Nghere Uft Wellington yesterday afternoon for Greymouth to load for Lyttelton. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises) that the Raranga, en route from Liverpool, was expected to. arrive at Adelaide yesterday. The Waihora is due at Wellington tonight or Wednesday morning from Mewcastle with coal. The Corinna, which arrived from New Plymouth yesterday, will be despatched to-night for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Komata. with coal from Westport, was to have left for Wellington last night. The Kowhai sailed last night for Greymouth The Kini left Auckland on Sunday morning for Wellington, where she is duo to-day. She then proceeds to Picton to load produce for Onehunga. The Mapourika leaves Napier to-mor-row for Wellington, and after discharge hero will proceod with general cargo to Now Plymouth. The Stella is expected to leave Dunedin to-day for Wellington. Tho Wakatu has been delayed owing to tho rough weather, and is now duo from Lyttelton via Kaikoura to-morrow. The Kipplo left Wellington last night for Napier, and is due back again on Saturday. Tho Koutunui and Ruru both got away from Wellington last night with a. load of coke for Gisborne. The former vessel is duo back again on Friday, when sho will load general cargo for tho East Coast.

Tho Kokiri is an expected arrival at Wellington, coal laden from GreymoutU.

Both tho Eosamond and Kittawa were expected to leave Greymouth last evening with coal for this port. Tho Invorcargill, which left here last night fo Wanganui, is expected back again to-morrow. The Blenheim, for Westhaven. sailed from Wellington last night. She is duo back on Friday. WITHIN CALL. Tho Union Company's steamer Manuka which left Sydney on Saturday for Wellington with passengers and cargo, is expected in the stream to-morrow niornin", and instead of going to Lyttelton will remain at AVellington till sho sails for Sydney and Hobart on Friday. Owing to the monthly stop-work meeting of the watersiders being held this morning, only perishable cargo will bo received' for tho ferry steamer Maori, sailing for Lyttelton this evening. MO'NOWAI'S MOVEMENTS. Tho Monowai will leave Dunedin about tho end of the present week for Lyttelton arid Wellington, and is fixed to sail from Wellington on Tuesday next for Napier, Gisborne, Tokomaru, and Auckland. PALOONA FOR MELBOURNE. Tho Union Company advise that the Paloona; talnng passengers and cargo, will not leave Wellington before next Saturday direct for Melbourne. The vessel is to leavo Lyttelton on Friday evening for Wellington, en route from Melbourne, as Thursday will be a holiday and she will arrive here on Saturday morning. LARGEST AUSTRALIAN LINER.. The P. and 0. liner Makunda, the largest vessel built for the Australian and Indian passenger and mail service, recently had a successful run trial in tho Belfast Lough. Tho Makunda was ordered recently from Messrs Harland and Wolf before the war, and had' been fitted out as an armed cruiser at tho time of tho Armistice. Sho is GOS feet long on tho water line, with*a beam of 67 feet, her gross tonnage being 1G,600. There is accommodation for 42G saloon and 2-L second-class passengers, and the appointments are most tasteful and luxurious.
