FIRES IN TOWN
At 9.50 o’clock on Saturday night the Fire Brigade received a call to Murphy’s brick yards, Eolleston street, where the woodwork surround-. ing a brick kiln had become ignited. The flames irero extinguished before any serious damage resulted, the wooden framework of the kiln being, burnt a little. The Fire Brigade received a call at 3.52 p.m. yesterday to Fortunatus street, where an empty shed in. an unoccupied section had broken out in flames. The shed was quite - destroyed. Mrs Lock is reported to bo the owner of the section. The cause of the £r«i is unknown. ..
