CONFERENCE AT WELLINGTON
RACING CLUBS AND JOCKEYS,
"A SATISFACTORY RESULT.'*
Representatives of the jockeys met in committee at Wellington on Saturday morning in order to discuss certain ' matters in connection with the dispute. Tho jockeys wore represented hy Messrs A. Olliver, R. Hatch, W. Bell, A. Reed, R. Reed, and G. Copestako; Sir George Clifford, meaidnd. and Mr
Roy Sellars, secretary to the Racing Conference, acted as secretary. It is reported that as a result, certain amendments to the Rules of Racing will be laid before tho Racing Conference for consideration, and that certain other suggestions were made to bo laid before racing clubs in regard to conveniences to ho afforded to jockeys. It is understood that all present were entirely satisfied with the result.
