WHAKATANE LOAN PROPOSALS
Pits* A-sopint;on. "WHAKATANE, June 4. The Mayor, at a reunion, foreshadowed AVhakatane Borough loan proposals —£60.000 to £70,000 for wuter supply, electricity, drainage, roads, and footpaths. With the proposed county loan of £BO,OOO. it is now proposed to borrow a total of about £150,000 for public works in this district.
