SETTLEMENT OF 'DISPUTE. EMPLOYEES’ OFFER ACCEPTED. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Juno 1. It is announced here that the industrial pSsition of New Zealand has been eased by the settlement of the dispute between the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Federation and the Shipping; Companies’ Federation. It has been decided to accept the employers’ offer of an increase in wages on ordinary time amounting to 2d per hour and 3d per hour for overtime. Both are to apply to all classes of work.

The effect is to increase the wages of. the waterside workers from Is iOd to 2s per hour.
