PASSENGER EMBARGO
RESTRICTED SERVICE ALLOWED.
In view of the arrival of the Sydney steamer Manuka as a clean ship, stated, the Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister for Public Health, yesterday, it in intended to cable immediately to Australia that tho embargo on the intercolonial passenger service will bo lifted to tho extent of allowing a restricted passenger service to bo resumed to cover not more than fifty passengers for each ship for tho present. ' The first to bo allowed to come will he soldiers and munition-workers, who, on their way back to tho Dominion, have been prevented from coming because of tho embargo; also specially' necessitous cases. This will apply to steamers leaving both Sydney and Melbourne,
