WEATHER PROSPECTS

Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are for strong and variable winds with southerlies prevailing and veering to westerlies. A continuance of cold and. changeable weather .may be expected, with scattered showers. The barometer has a rising tendency, hut is likely to fall everywhere in from 21 to 36 hours.
