PARISHIONERS' MEETING
The annual meeting of parishioners in connection with St. Andrew's Ohurch, Manakau, was held in the Parish. Hall this week, whenthere was a. record attendance. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £24 18s 2d. and also £ll 7s 6d on the Honours Board. The chairman (tho Rev. G. I l '. Petrio) expressed his gratification at seeing such a splendid attendance in spite of the boisterous weather. In thanking the various church workers, he referred particularly to the members of the Ladies' Guild, and tho onergetic secretary (Mrs Mickle). In thanking tho Sunday school teachers, the Misses l>rake and Miss Burnell. lie stressed tho importance of this branch of tho church's work, and hoped that the attendance at the school would show a marked increaso during the coming year. "Other church workers were also thanked.
Tho following office-bearers were elected:—Vicar's warden, Mr P. A. D. Micklo; people's warden, Mr C. P. Cotter : vestry, Messrs Burnell, Blair, Trevethic, Simeon, Ivan Drake, Major Tat urn. H. G. Bryant, It. Drake, and J. Southee; delegates to central parochial committee Messrs Cotter, Mickle and Simoon; auditor, Mr Southeo;hall custodian, Mr Micklo j ladies' auxiliary committee, Mosdames Tatuin, Mickle, Uurnell, Nees, O'Connor, Southee, Smith, Stewart, Miss May Drnke and Miss Cotter. A tocial gathering and refreshments brought to a close a happy and successful gathering.
