■POTENTIALITY WINS WAIEARAPA CUP. Profs Association. CARTERTON, May 29, There was a large crowd present at t he Taratahi-Carterton race meeting, which was held in beautiful weather. Good racing resulted from splendid fields. The totalisator handled A>12,715, which was J2247i ahead of the last meeting held in 1916 when the racing was curtailed owing to the war. The winner of the Cup was decorated with a,gold .ribbon by Mr Howard Booth, one of the rice-president’s, who after referring to the horse’s victory, alluded to the aerial feat of Hawker, the aviator, and three rousing cheers were given for him for his pluck in Ittempting a non-stop flight across <be Atlantic.
