About sixty of the -horses engaged at the -coming Great Northern • Meeting worked at BUeralie .this, morning. Sleight of ;Hand, .assisted, by -Reformation, did a good half-pace. Task and,. Waimai, alone: Covered two circuits^‘ after ing two' flights-of hurdles, went a strong round. Te Onga covered two rounds at a sound pace. :Art led Kauri King ;over two hurdles, and Colonel Soult ,led> Cynic and paraba over .four. Parana and Art then ran a'stfong circuit.on the'.sand, finishing together- all out. Colonel Soult Cynic,' and Kauri King' alone' did similar tasks. Orpheum, ■ alone, and ■ Tenacious assisted by. Meltchikqff,; ran : two - strong rounds, and .Otara, alone,: went a, similar distance. Troublesome led Sir .Fisher end ;No‘ Surrender over the steeplechase fences, tahing on those' on .the hill. Xtor One that' had never- seen the fences before -Six-Fisher gave-a -creditable display, though he 1 pecked on landing over One fence,' --' Grey .Star--went over the same fen'ces, boating a* stable-mate' taking loseo longer .time.- .Munster- galloped;.a. strong mile, and Hurry Up, Parisian Diamond,.
